OLMSTED COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER STUDY
Klein McCarthy Architects helped Olmsted County assess the feasibility and staffing impact of three separate locations for the Juvenile Detention Center. The study included a complete assessment of Department of corrections and federal regulations regarding staffing, services and spaces necessary to house juveniles in each of the county's three proposed spaces. Cost estimates of the construction required at each facility to provide a safe and secure space for the county's long term needs were provided. Staffing scenarios and Pro and Con assessments of each space as well as payback of staffing savings vs. cost of construction was included and conceptual plans for each space were developed.
