POPE COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER RENOVATIONS
The renovation and expansion of the Pope County Government Center provided space for Veteran's Services, 911 dispatch, Law Enforcement offices and inmate Courts holding. As the existing Courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historical places, great care was taken to ensure the design of both interior and exterior met the programmatic goals of the County while harmoniously blending into the existing 1929 courthouse complex.
During the planning process, Klein McCarthy Architects provided the County with detailed plan options and explored how the Government Center renovations could be accomplished with minimal impact on the occupied Courthouse. Cost estimating was a crucial part of the design process at every stage, and the project met the County's financial goals while providing them with adequate space for their current and future needs.
