ROSEAU COUNTY JAIL & SOCIAL SERVICES MASTERPLAN
Klein McCarthy designed a master planned campus site to house the Social Services, Law Enforcement Center, Courts, and a new jail. Completed in 2007, the Roseau County Jail is a direct supervision facility with space for Law Enforcement and Dispatch functions, as well as Jail Administration staff. Linked directly to the existing County Courthouse, the new jail provides for the safe and convenient transfer of inmates between Courtrooms and the 46 bed housing units.
The vacated portion of the existing County Courthouse building was remodeled to house the remaining Law Enforcement, thus allowing the County to vacate an older downtown building, and sell it. Having the Law Enforcement, Courts, and Jail all on one campus, we helped reduce maintenance duties, general overhead and created the campus setting for the Government Justice Center.
