The new Clay County Withdrawal Management/Detox Facility will be a 32-bed facility for the County run Withdrawal Management services. This facility will replace the existing facility, which is in the County Social Services Building, considered a stopgap solution in a remodeled former hospital. The new facility will be a notable upgrade in environmental quality and services.
The proposed solution is designed for increased staff visibility and security within the facility, with central nurses’ stations having direct views into Care Suite Living areas via large expanses of interior windows composed of clear attack rated safety glass, designed to take a beating.
This facility balances the need for residential style comfort and institutional durability through its use of behavior health directed finish materials, warm color palette, and furnishings, over durable architectural materials and security design features.
The building will be B3 compliant as well. Compliance includes a geothermal system, native species landscaping, and numerous other desirable features per the B3 program.
A future 16 bed mental health wing is also planned as a future addition.
