Klein McCarthy provided predesign services for Grant County in a new split level Law Enforcement Center located on a hill directly behind the historic Courthouse. A study of the sightlines looking at the existing courthouse was conducted to determine the placement of the building and its minimal impact on views of the historic Courthouse. Looking directly at the Courthouses front entrance, the new LEC is not visible.
The project consists of a law enforcement office with a public lobby, dispatch, and an interview room. It also has a sallyport, intake, and holding area for arresting officers to process and hold suspects before transferring out of the County to a jail or release.
Klein McCarthy is currently waiting on approval from the County to continue work on developing the design.
