GREEN COUNTY JAIL & Sheriff's OFFICE

GREEN COUNTY JAIL & SHERIFF'S OFFICE

    Monroe, WI

Green County hired Klein McCarthy Architects to assess their current jail and Sheriff's Office as well as program a new facility based on the current needs of the County.  The findings of the study determined they need a new facility based on age, size and lack of classification housing in the jail.

The new facility has been designed for 84 cell beds and 48 dormitory beds for a total of 132. The Sheriff’s Office is planned to include administration offices, community rooms, coroner, emergency management, 911 dispatch, patrol and investigations and IT services.

The new facility will connect to their current Justice Center building via underground tunnel for secure inmate transfer from the jail to court.

The current jail will remain in operation during the construction phase of the new facility.
