Hennepin County hired Klein McCarthy Architects to design a hearing room in their Juvenile Justice Center. The goal of the project was to combine two existing hearing room spaces into one hearing room suited specifically for their needs.
Juvenile hearings typically need additional attorney space, therefore the room was arranged to accommodate more tables and chairs in the well area. Sight lines for judicial staff are a key component in courts design, therefore the design team provided 3D modeling to ensure all user groups had a complete understanding of the project design.
