Itasca County Jail and Courts Addition and Remodel

This new 3-story building is located prominently on the corner of Highway 2 and Highway 169. It consists of a new state of the art Jail with a designed capacity of 194 beds and 4 courtrooms stacked directly above the jail, along with supporting functions.  The Project includes the jail, courts and supporting functions, State and County Probations and various county supporting functions.

The Jail includes a designated mental health pod with seven housing units with multiple classifications and supporting programming area for small groups and one on one counseling.

Construction has concluded this Spring on the addition and work will be moving into renovating portions of the existing government center.
